SUD will begin the 268 E. Main Street project involving the construction of a new, five-story mixed-use apartment building along Main Street in Newark, DE. The ground floor podium will contain approximately 2,900 SF of shell retail space, common area space for the residents, including a leasing office, and covered parking. Floors two, three, four, and five will be comprised of 56 apartment units. Currently, an existing hotel remains in the location of the new building. Demolition of the hotel and associated site work will occur before the new mixed-use building is constructed. Construction activities began in early 2023, with an anticipated project turnover in the Summer of 2024.
